The Inspiration

I bought this leather jacket on Orchard Street, NY after months of shopping for the perfect one. I haggled with Persians, picking it up for $100. Then I promptly moved to Guam, where it’s a blissful 87 degrees all year long. On my first trip back to NY in three years, I wore my beloved leather jacket, feeling like a girl James Dean. This was my first time to experience the MoMA and see my inspiration, the fearless Cindy Sherman. I think I just described the perfect day.
